Prokennex Power Pro 709 Badminton Racket — Unstrung

The Prokennex Power Pro 709 is a well-established performance racket designed for beginner-to-intermediate players who favour a comprehensive, defence-oriented style of play. Built from high-modulus carbon graphite, it offers an excellent balance of lightness and durability, weighing in at roughly 81-85 grams (4U class) with an even 285mm balance point.

The racket's flexible shaft is one of its standout features, helping players generate power more easily even without a fully developed swing technique. This flex allows the frame to load and release energy efficiently, giving beginner and intermediate players a helping hand on clears, lifts, and smashes while keeping the racket forgiving on mistimed shots.

Its aerodynamic head shape and reinforced frame profile combine to reduce drag during swings, allowing for quicker reactions at the net and faster recovery between defensive strokes. This makes the Power Pro 709 a strong choice for doubles players who need to move rapidly between attacking and defensive positions during fast exchanges.

Comfort is another highlight, with an ergonomically shaped handle that reduces hand fatigue over long matches or training sessions. The racket's balanced, even-weighted design also makes it approachable for players transitioning from beginner equipment into more capable, performance-focused gear.

Since the Power Pro 709 arrives unstrung, you can select your own preferred string and tension, typically up to around 22-28 lbs, to fine-tune the feel to your liking. Visit our badminton store for expert stringing so your racket is match-ready from the moment you pick it up.

Trusted by club players worldwide, the Prokennex Power Pro 709 offers reliable, high-quality performance at an accessible price point — a smart pick for anyone looking to build a strong defensive foundation on court.
